A Friday morning fire results in the destruction of a home in Perry.

According to Perry Fire Chief Chris Hinds, they responded to a fire at 10:16am at 1608 Otley Avenue. Hinds says that the fire started in the back bedroom of the home and made its way to the attic. He says no one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured during the incident. The structure was considered to be a total loss. The surrounding buildings were undamaged.

The following entities responded included Perry, Bouton and Woodward Fire Departments,  Perry Police Department and Dallas County EMS.
