Ladies Night in Stuart is only a couple weeks away.
Many may remember last year’s Ladies Night, but some may not know that the tradition goes further back then that. Stuart Flowers & Gifts Owner Katie Adams says that the previous shop owner, Christy O’Brien was actually the one to start the idea. Adams told Raccoon Valley Radio that O’Brien would host Ladies Night in the flower shop, but last year when it was her turn, she wanted to try something a little different.
Adams tells Raccoon Valley Radio she got in contact with some other businesses, and asked if they wouldn’t mind staying open late that night as well. The original two she asked said yes, and then a few more jumped in, and it turned into a very festive kickoff for the holiday season.
With the success of last year, and some new businesses opening up this year, Adams is even more excited for it this year. Ladies Night will take place from 4-8 the Thursday before Thanksgiving, with most of the business district staying open late to celebrate.
