With the general election coming up soon, Greene County voters are reminded of where to cast their ballots on Election Day.

Jefferson residents in precincts one and two are to vote at the same location, the Greene County Community Center. Voters in the north precinct are to go to the Churdan Community Center. The central precinct voting location is Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. The Scranton Community Center is the west precinct voting location and those individuals voting in the east precinct are to report to St. Brigid’s Parish Center in Grand Junction. Polls are open from 7am-8pm on Election Day.

In addition to candidates that are on the ballot, there are two ballot initiatives. One is a statewide initiative with adding language to the second amendment to Iowa’s Constitution providing for the right for Iowans to keep and bear arms. The other is a county initiative for a new county jail for $12,685,000.

A reminder that the Greene County Auditor’s Office is open tomorrow from 9am-5pm for an additional opportunity for people to cast their ballot ahead of Tuesday. Eligible voters who are planning on voting on Election Day are reminded to bring photo identification with them to their respective polling place.
