The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department has a couple of tumbling classes that will start later this month.
The Beginning/Tumbling I class is for kids in kindergarten through first grade who have little to no experience in the activity. Participants will learn floor tumbling, do beam exercises and spring-board work. The class will be held on Tuesdays from November 8th-29th from 5:30-6:15pm at the Greene County Community Center. There is a $30 fee for community center members and $35 for non-members.
Additionally, a Tumbling II class is for anyone in second grade or older. Participants will master basic floor skills, along with advanced work on beams, basic spring-board and single bar moves. This class will also take place on Tuesdays from November 8th-29th from 6:15-7pm at the community center. The fee is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Both classes will be taught by Nicole Friess-Schilling.
