Greene County sophomore Noah Hinote will run tomorrow afternoon at 2:45 p.m. in the Class 2A boys’ race at the State Cross-Country Coed Meet north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park. The 1A and 2A races for girls and boys are Friday with 3A and 4A girls and boys races on Saturday.

Hinote told Raccoon Valley Radio he’s excited to run for the first time at a State Meet and his goal in to finish among the top 50% of runners. He qualified by finishing in the top 15 on Oct. 20 in Shenandoah where he placed eleventh.

State qualifiers from Greene County in cross-country have not been an every year happening as Hinote is the first to qualify from here since Haley Hall made it in 2017. Hall was Coach Jeff Lamoureux’s first State Qualifier and Hinote is the second.

All three Raccoon Valley Radio stations will have reports on the results from the races on Friday and Saturday.
