The Perry Elks Lodge hosted its local Hoop Shoot contest this past Saturday.

There were 24 participants that competed at the local level for a chance to advance to the district contest. Kids are challenged with who can make the most out of 25 free throw attempts in different age and gender divisions. This year’s local champions and moving onto the district contest includes Drew Adair for the 8-9 year old boys, Lauren Finn for the 8-9 year old girls, Peirce Menke for the 10-11 year old boys, Edlyn Iben for the 10-11 year old girls, and Joseph Ponce for the 12-13 year old boys.

The district contest will be held in Jefferson.
