Dallas Center – Grimes volleyball participated in their 4A regional semifinals on Thursday night in Grimes against the Ballard Bombers, and the Mustangs were able to find some success as they were able to win three sets to none 26-24, 25-18, and 25-16. The Mustangs were able to advance to 20-16 and Ballard moves to 17-14.

The first set turned out to be a major turning point as the Mustangs and Bombers battled back and forth, but DCG was able to make some major plays to find the win, before able to create some distance in sets 2 and 3 to pick up a great win.

The Mustangs will have a chance to enter the state tournament next Tuesday when they travel to Cedar Rapids – Xavier to take on the top seeded Saints.
