The Paton-Churdan High School volleyball team won its season opening match on August 21 in Burnside vs. non-conference opponent Southeast Webster-Grand in five games. The victory made a winner of Coach Hannah Boehmer in her debut with the Rockets. The match went the maximum five games and scores were 25-12, 18-25, 28-30, 25-23, 15-11.

The next action for the Rockets is set for Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8 a.m. in Coon Rapids for the Coon Rapids-Bayard tournament.
