Boone raced out to a quick start Thursday night and never looked back as the Toreadors defeated Perry 30-14 in a freshman and sophomore combined game at Dewey Field. A big crowd gathered to support the Perry football program following last week’s decision to cancel the season.
Alec Burgin electrified the large crowd with a 74 yard kickoff return for a touchdown while freshman Anthony Sanchez capped off a long scoring drive with a 5 yard touchdown run.
Perry will host Carlisle next Friday night in what will be a busy night at Dewey Field. The Bluejay seniors will be recognized along with the marching band and cheerleaders.
