Greene County hosts Clarke (Osceola) tonight in Class 2A District 8 football at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The Rams are 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the district with the district title clinched. Clarke has the fourth playoff spot from the district sewed up and the Indians are 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in district play.

Both teams want a victory tonight to enter next Friday’s playoffs on a strong note. For Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams, their goal is to go unbeaten in the district for a second straight season and to extend to 13 the number of district games in a row the program has won dating back to 2020. It’s also Senior Night for Greene County as seniors and their parents in football, cross-country, cheerleading, and band will be introduced to the crowd and videos will be shown on the new scoreboard prior to kickoff.
