Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls cross country competed in their conference meet on Tuesday at Hillcrest Country Club in Adel, and they were able to find some positive marks from both individuals and teams, with the boys team finishing 5th and the girls team grabbing a 2ndplace finish. The girls were able to have a team score of 54 and the boys were at 123.

The girls were able to be lead by senior Geneva Timmerman, who ran to a 2nd place finish with a time of 18 minutes 51 seconds. Freshmen Haley James was able to find a nice 9th place finish with a time of 20 minutes 40 seconds, with sophomore Hannah Desmarais right behind her with a time of 20 minutes 53 seconds. Grace Martens-Sinn finished 14th and Paige Mattes 19th to round out the scoring for the Tigers.

Sophomore Torin Timmerman lead the boys with a time of 16 minutes 52 seconds for a 9th place finish. Hunter Landphair was 25th with a time of 17 minutes 35 seconds and Issac Chapman was right behind him at 27th with a mark of 17 minutes 36 seconds.

For the Tigers, they will be competing in their state qualifying meet a week from today, as they will be hoping to advance both teams to the state race. The race will be taking place at Glenwood.
