Funeral Services for Linda Kay Smith, 82, of Ankeny will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Jefferson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 with family present from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Linda is survived by her daughters Teresa Smith of Black Mountain, North Carolina and Julie Ann King (Jeff) of Des Moines; son Jack Daniel Smith (Sandy) of Ankeny; seven grandchildren: Jason Weiman of Boulder, Colorado, Derek Weiman of Boulder, Colorado, Michael King (Anna) of Newton, Travis King (Jenny) of Grimes, Shannon Smith of West Des Moines, Lexi Zahn (Zach) of Des Moines, and Jack Dillon “JD” Smith (Kelsey) of Ankeny; four great-grandchildren: Susie, Grace, Michael James, and Charlotte King; sisters Marilyn Nelson of Minnesota, and Janice Bielenberg of Coon Rapids; and sister-in-law Linda Faaborg of Arizona; and her favorite pet Abby.
