The anticipation is high, and the stakes are real for ADM Tigers football this evening, as two teams in the top three matchup, with number 3 ADM travel to visit number 1 Harlan. ADM comes into the game with a 6-0 record, while Harlan counters with a 5-1 mark.
Both of these teams are very gifted when it comes to scoring the football, with Harlan the number one team in 3A in points at 49.5, and ADM second in that column at 44.5. ADM is first in total offensive yards in 3A, and have been able to move the ball on the ground and through the air. Harlan has 12 team turnovers on the year defensively, and ADM will have to be careful against that tricky defense.
If this game plays closely, one of the things to keep an eye on will be how these teams look down the stretch, both teams have only played in one game this year where the game was within one score going into the 4th quarter.
The winner of this game will have the inside track to become district 6 champions, and with that, a guaranteed home playoff game in the round of 16 when the playoffs start later in the month.
The Tigers will have to find a way to win the turnover battle, find a way to be in the area of their state leading 8.2 yards per carry, and play with confidence and swagger against an established state power.
Tonight’s game will be broadcast on the home of the Tigers True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com. The game from Merrill Field will be taking place at 7 pm. Adel Healthmart pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 pm, with our football Friday night coverage to fully begin at 6 pm.
