Crops are starting to be harvested across Iowa.

According to the Crop Progress and Condition report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture, at the end of last week, about five percent of corn in Iowa had been harvested, which is five days behind last year and one day behind the five year average. Corn was rated 64 percent good to excellent. 

As for soybeans, about seven percent statewide have been harvested, which is four days behind last year and one day behind the five year average. Soybeans were 62 percent good to excellent.

Farmers worked an average of 5.5 days last week.
