Greene County’s football program rarely backs away from a challenge, and head coach Caden Duncan and the Rams have one in Red Oak running back Riley Fouts. He’s the Class 2A leader in rushing yards at 1,089 with 12 touchdowns and a 9.6 yards per carry average. Fouts has 80% of the Tigers’ yards on the ground this season. He is eighth overall in Iowa high school football rushing yards.
Greene County’s defense is allowing less than 17 points per game and only 143 rushing yards per game on average. The most rushing yards a single player has run for against the Rams this season is 81, which has happened twice. As a team, RO is averaging 272 yards on the ground, largely due to what Riley Fouts has accomplished.
The 4-1 Rams face the 4-1 Tigers in Red Oak tomorrow night on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 6:20 p.m. with kickoff at 7 o’clock.
