
Friday, September 23rd
7:05am: Alicia Hawkins reported her dog had gotten loose again. The officer spoke to her about making the animal compliant with Animal Ordinances and gave her a time period to license the dog.
8:15am: A caller advised of a Stray Dog near 106 West Washington Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility and issued Alicia Hawkins a citation for, “Animal at Large Prohibited.”
8:59am: The GCMC reported an elderly female called and is looking for her husband. He has been deceased for some time now. The officer contacted family members about the issue.
9:13am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of South Georgia Street.
10:19am: An officer investigated a reported Accident 800 Block of West Clark Street. A 2008 Ford Taurus, owned by Jason Parnell and operated by Jacob Parnell of Jefferson, pulled off the street into a bin site and made contact with the building. The vehicle suffered slight damage, while the bin was not damaged. The accident occurred on private property; no citation was issued.
12:24pm: Dennis Jordan reported a Stray Dog near the 200 Block of North Pinet Street. The officer did not locate the reported animal.
12:55pm: Casey’s reported finding a Citizen Taser at 508 North Elm Street. The officer took possession of the device.
2:57pm: The GC High School reported a teacher had witnessed a juvenile female in possession of a Vaping Device in class. The officer issued Chloe Dzuris of Jefferson a citation for, “Minor in Possession of Vaping Product.”
2:30pm: Robert McCarty reported the Theft of Prescription Medication from 305 North Wilson Ave.
3:54pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Lincoln Way Streets resulted in Brent Dennhardt of Rippey being cited for, “Failure to Wear Safety Belt.”
3:57pm: A caller reported an Unlicensed Driver on Lincoln Way Street. The officer conducted a NCIC check and learned the subject has a valid DL. No action was taken.
4:39pm: Samantha Simmons reported her juvenile son was assaulted on the School Bus today. She had reported the issue to the school, but wanted the PD to be aware as well.
5:29pm: Kristi Holz reported a Suspicious Female going through the recycle bins near Cedar and Perry Streets. The officer spoke to the female and learned she was dropping of recyclables and nothing suspicious was occurring.
8:37pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.
9:18pm: Fort Dodge Police advised of a Driving Complaint on a vehicle headed south from Baxter Ave. The officer did not locate the vehicle in Jefferson.
10:39pm: A caller advised of a vehicle doing burn outs in the Middle School Parking Lot in the 100 Block of Ram Drive. Grant Miller of Jefferson was issued a citation for, “Reckless Driving.”
11:33pm: Janet Sabus requested an officer at 1237 Rushridge Road, for a vehicle which would not turn off. The officer assisted with the issue.
Saturday, September 24th
12:07am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The business was found to be secure.
9:35am: Casidy Bowen spoke with an officer about Unwanted Contact from a male subject. The officer gave her some suggestions to correct the issues.
11:13am: The Super 8 Motel requested an officer at 207 West Gallop Road for an Aggravated Employee. The officer is investigating and charges are pending at this time.
12:16pm: Stephanie Bickle spoke with an officer about her juvenile daughter refusing to follow rules.
3:45pm: An officer checked on a vehicle parked on Central Street, near McKinley. The subject was allowing his dog to go to the bathroom and was on his way.
3:56pm: A caller advised of Loud Music near Cedar and Monroe Streets. The officer did not locate the music.
5:25pm: Roger Nielson reported a ground hog destroying his property at 102 West McKinley Street. He was offered a live trap to borrow.
8:15pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of West Washington Street.
11:58pm: An officer was advised of a Juvenile Runaway, currently located at 606 Why. 30 East. The officer went to the business and took custody of the juvenile. She was later transported by DHS to a Juvenile Shelter.
Sunday, September 25th
5:56pm: The Wild Rose casino reported an Intoxicated Female driving away from 777 Wild Rose Drive. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
10:49pm: An officer assisted a resident, who was locked out of their residence at 701 South Locust Street.
11:22pm: Jo Mills reported hearing gunshots, or fireworks north of the 500 Block of West State Street. The officer did not locate the source of the noise.
