The DMACC Perry VanKirk Career Academy is preparing to offer a day camp for middle school students this summer.
There will be two sessions for the Crime Scene Investigation and Criminal Justice Camp, on June 20th and July 7th.
Students in 6th through 8th grade from area schools are invited to participate in the hands on event. DMACC instructor and Dallas County Sheriff’s deputy Jim Graham will lead the camp.
Attendees will learn about fingerprints, use a super glue chamber, cast footprints with dental stone, learn how to secure a crime scene and learn about blood spatter evidence.
The camp is free and takes place from 8am to 3pm with lunch and snacks provided.
Space is limited to 20 campers per session. To register, fill out the Camper Registration Form and return to the Perry VanKirk Career Academy.
