One of the signs that the summer Perry Farmers Market is coming to a close is when the final special event happens on the final third Thursday of the month.
Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says for this Thursday’s Farmers Market will be Community Night.
“Think of kind of like the career fair, job fair type atmosphere where there’ll be different booths for those different organizations to reach out to community members if they’ve got volunteer opportunities, different events coming up. But just really generally to engage with the community, just like any of our special guests have for our special events over the summer.”
Pasutti notes the guests that have confirmed they will be there this Thursday include, Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Authority, Habitat for Humanity, Perry Grand 3 Theater, Whiterock Conservancy, Raccoon River Pet Rescue, the First Christian Church Clothes Closet, among others. She invites everyone to the Farmers Market on Second Street next to the Josh Davis Plaza from 4-7pm.
