The Stuart Public Library is having a program to create awareness for the habits of children.

The Children’s Health Fair will be September 12th from 1 to 3pm at the library. The initiative is designed to teach participants about creating good eating and physical habits along with mental health and safety. Library Clerk Mary McColloch explains she has done this program before and it was very successful.

“We see a lot of stress in kids. I’ve had parents coming in saying that starting school their kids have had a lot of stress and getting back into the routine, routine and stuff. And we just thought maybe this would help and if it’s successful, we’ll build on it.’

There will be hands-on activities from several activities from the Guthrie County Health Nurse, Guthrie County Hospital, Stuart Police, Stuart Family Dental, Guthrie County Extension and Amanda Nourse with children’s yoga. For more  information about this free event contact the Stuart Public Library.
