The Panorama Panthers football team took on the Pella Christian Eagles Friday night at home in Panora and faced a tough battle.

The Panthers were facing off against the number ninth ranked Class 1A Pella Christian Eagles Friday night in Panora and had a tough time finding the end zone as through four quarters of play the Eagles emerged with a victory Friday by a final score of 61-3.

The Panthers were looking to improve their record to 2-0 on the season when they faced off against the Eagles Friday night but ultimately came up short as they were held out of the end zone all night long but were able to score three points on a field goal throughout the game.

The Panthers fell to an overall record of 1-1 on the year so far after coming off an impressive win over the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks in week one by a final score of 57-33 as the Panthers were able to rack up more than 400 yards rushing on the night.

Now, the Panthers will be looking to regroup and get back in the win column as they will be getting prepared for week three action when  the Panthers will be making the roughly hour and a half trip to Leon, Iowa to take on the Central Decatur Cardinals for their week three matchup. Last season, this was a contested game where the Cardinals were able to get the better of the Panthers by a final score of 14-5 but Panorama leads the historical matchup with an all-time record of 8-2 over Central Decatur.
