The Guthrie County Historic Village will hold a program with the mission to teach the community how to properly take care of a cemetery.
The “Saving Our Historic Cemeteries,” is a program that will be on September 10th from 9am until noon at the Richland Cemetery in Bagely but the last day to register is on September 8th.
The class will be designed to educate and assist with getting to know people interested in maintaining or restoring historic cemeteries. Participants will learn how to repair broken tombstones, headstones and monuments at Richland Cemetery. For more information about how to get involved visit information listed.
Registration is requested so the historic village ensures we have enough tools and supplies. Please contact Kristine at 641.755.2989 or gchv@netins.net to sign up prior to September 8th. More info can be found on the GCHV’s Facebook page, too. https://www.facebook.com/TheGCHV/events
