Dallas Center – Grimes football will be gearing up for a week 1 matchup against a good program in North Polk in Grimes, as the Mustangs will be looking to put together a good performance and grab another win on the season.

Mustang football was able to get a 41-0 victory over Des Moines North from a week ago. This will be the first game of the year for North Polk.

Last year was a rough season opener for DCG against North Polk, as they fell 34-7 in a game they weren’t very competitive in. North Polk finished the season at 3-6 from last year, but return some good players from that team.

DCG will look to find a way to win the turnover battle, win special teams, and protect their home field at well.

Kick time will be at 7 pm from Grimes tonight, as the Mustangs will be looking to put together another strong showing for a 2nd consecutive week.
