Greene County continued playing on the road during this first week of the high school volleyball season. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams traveled to St. Edmond High School in Ft. Dodge for non-conference play vs. the Gaels and the Rams won the best of five match in three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-18. The Rams are now 3-0 on the season while the Gaels played for the first time.
The coach reports senior setter Natalie Heupel was home sick, and sophomore Violet Reedy filled in and did a very good job. Senior Katrina Heupel had a great night at the service line going 22 of 23 with seven ace serves. She started set one with 10 serves in a row. Senior Bella Schroeder registered 12 kills with four by junior Kaylee Stalder and three each by sophomore Payton Kokenge and senior Ashlynn Hinners.
