12:53am: Ryan Brown advised an Officer that his vehicle had been vandalized. He requested that no criminal charges be filed, and that the situation just be documented.

3:37am: An Officer removed a Bat from a residence in the 300 block of N. Wilson.

4:06am: An Officer removed a Bat from a residence in the 100 block of N. Cedar St.

8:03am: An Officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of N. Elm in regards to a subject having a mental health crisis. The Officer transported the subject to the hospital.

8:09am: An Officer removed a Bat from a business in the 100 block of E. Lincoln Way

9:22am: The Jefferson Police Department, with assistance from the Greene County Sheriffs Office, executed a search warrant in the 600 block of W. Lincoln Way. Suspected controlled substances were found. Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.

1:38pm: An Officer arrested Sean Shell, of Jefferson, on Greene County Arrest Warrants.

1:52pm: Jeff Ramsey requested a welfare check on family member in the 100 block of Sunset Place. An Officer determined that the subject was fine.

2:24pm: Eric Fisher reported a Fox that was in the softball field on E. Lincoln Way. An Officer was able to let the Fox out of the fenced area.

3:06pm: Bruce Banister reported a residence in the 700 block of W. Sunset that has excessive “junk” in the yard. He was advised that the City Code Enforcement Officer would need to handle the situation.

4:33pm: Officers were called to the 200 block of N. Elm St. in regards to an argument between two subjects. Officers spoke to those involved and found a remedy to the problem.

5:45pm: Cassie Fowler reported a missing cellular telephone. Using location applications, the cellular telephone was located and returned to the owner.

6:08pm: Tiffany Smith reported a missing cellular telephone. An Officer is investigating the situation.

6:13pm: Richard Hernandez reported a situation involving his child and ex-wife. The Officer spoke to all involved and gave advice on how to handle the situation.

6:19pm: An Officer assisted a motorist in the 400 block of N. Elm St.

9:30pm: An Officer assisted EMS in the 500 block of W. Mahlon St.

10:19pm: Dalton Exline reported that he had hit a deer, with his vehicle, on N. Cedar St. near the railroad crossing. Damage to his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was estimated at $300.

**** As the result of an investigation that began on August 22nd an Officer requested an arrest warrant for Wayne Johnson, of Fort Dodge, for Theft in the Fifth Degree.
