The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center cross country will kick off their season on the road today.

Both boys and girls cross country teams will perfrom at Gowie versus 15 other teams at 5pm. Head Coach Colin Shawgo tells Raccoon Valley Radio his team is itching to get back to competitive running.

“We’re just ready to compete. I mean, these kids have been putting in a lot of work. We had camp the first week of August and then we’ve been hitting the pavement pretty hard to get ourselves as prepared as possible for those competition dates. So I think a lot of the kids are getting ready to just go out and actually enjoy racing against somebody else other than the team.”

A few of the top preseason ranked boys teams will perfrom in this meet including Ogden, Madrid, St. Edmonds along with St. Edmonds girls team.
