ADM football participated in a scrimmage on Friday night against the Johnston Dragons, and they were able to put together some positive results.

The Tigers were able to score on their first possession going six plays for 80 yards, highlighted by a 56 yard touchdown pass from Aiden Flora to Brevin Doll, who was wide open down the sideline.

The defense gave up a couple of big plays in their first possession, which results in a Johnston passing TD. Ryan Conrad was able to make a nice tackle for loss.

Second possession the Tigers had a fumble, and couldn’t get the ball in the end zone in their eight plays, though they were able to complete all of their pass plays. The defense was able to find some good plays from their defensive line in their defensive possession from both Vince Benetti and Grant Jansen.

Third possession, a penalty and sack limited the Tigers production, and they couldn’t connect on a deep throw either. The defense was strong again, as they were able to put up a great possession, including Benetti able to grab an interception on an attempted running back screen.

Other highlights included Conrad running for a touchdown, and the defense able to force a pair of turnovers on the evening.

Their were plenty of positives and a few things to work on as well, but the Tigers were able to put together a really nice scrimmage against a quality opponent.

The Tigers will play their first real game of the season on Friday, when they travel to Gilbert.
