A summer project for the West Central Valley Athletic Department was redoing the floor in the main gymnasium and the new design looks phenomenal. 

Athletic Director Ethan Calvert says there was nothing wrong with the main gymnasium floor but they figured it was time for a change after 12 years. Calvert tells Raccoon Valley Radio they spent a lot of time looking at different mock designs along with looking at other schools’ designs of their gym floor. 

“So far I have heard all positive things. I think everyone loves the new floor, it looks sharp, I’m just thankful we were able to get it done and we’re ready to roll for our indoor sports season.”

The center design is new with the W C V abbreviation in front of a wildcat shaped head. Inside of the three point arch is a darker brown than the rest of the court. For a picture of the new gym floor visit here.
