The public is invited to a Pep Rally later this afternoon in Jefferson on the Mahanay Bell Tower Plaza downtown. The Greene County Activities Booster Club organized the event, which was held annual for several years until the pandemic prevented it from being held in recent years.

The event is back and starts with a 5 p.m. meal. The Booster Club is providing the “free will” supper and Murphy Farm Meats is donating the meat for the supper. The Pep Rally starts at 5:30 p.m. with Fall sports teams and coaches being introduced, and other school officials and students will be attending.

School at Greene County begins next week and so does competitions that count on the season record for Ram volleyball and football. Cross-Country’s first competition is on Sept. 1.
