Volleyball season is just around the corner for the Panorama Panthers with regular season action slated to begin at the end of this month.
The month of August holds the beginning of the regular season for the Panorama Panthers volleyball team as they will begin their journey under first year head coach Mollie Sorber. There will be plenty of returners to the court his year as a young core will return that saw extended playing time last season.
Panthers volleyball will get their first playing time against another team when they take part in a varsity scrimmage beginning at 3:30 p.m. August 18th at Ignite Sports and Fitness in Grimes as they will get to see where they are at before the season officially kicks off.
Following the week after the varsity scrimmage the Panthers will be taking on the West Central Valley Wildcats at home beginning at 7 p.m. August 23rd. This will be a good game to open the season as the Panthers earned a win over the Wildcats last season 3-2 in a closely contested match.
The first week of regular season volleyball will continue that week when the Panthers girls head to Coon Rapids-Bayard High School to take part in a varsity volleyball tournament beginning at 9 a.m. August 25th versus the Audubon Wheelers and Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders.
The Panthers will close out a busy August on August 30th beginning at 5 p.m. at Panorama High School when they take part in a triangular against the Greene County Rams and South Central Calhoun Titans as August will mark the beginning of the volleyball season for the Panthers.
