Nathan Behne enters his third year of high school and his third season as the kicker for the Greene County High School football team. He’s been an instrumental part of the Rams going a combined 15-5 in 2020 and ’21, including last year when Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams won the Class 2A District 8 title by winning all five district games by 35 or more points.

Behne shares his thoughts on the type of season the 2022 Rams might have. “We lost a lot of good athletes, but all those athletes helped train the ones that are playing now. Our JV would practice against the varsity, so we got a lot of good practice and reps in. Our team has been going to “7 on 7’s” which is football without the linemen. I haven’t gone to those, but it sounds like we’ve done pretty well, and our chemistry is going to better, I think, than it was last year.”

The Rams finished their camp on Friday and Monday, Aug. 8 is the first date of official practice not only for football, but for all Fall high school sports in Iowa.
