Greene County High School football camp resumes later today after a camp for middle school athletes was held Tuesday night. Head coach Caden Duncan has a very small senior class for the 2022 season after a large group of seniors graduated in May. The Rams were 5-0 in Class 2A District 8 and won every district contest by the 35 point continuous clock rule. Overall, the 2021 Rams were 8-2 and ranked as high as number three in the polls.
The coach said there is talent anxious to prove themselves on the varsity level. “We enjoy kind of being the hunted, the team that people are gunning for, and the team with high expectations. We don’t look at things like we have to rebuild- we reload. It’s the next guy up! We’ve got some guys who are really excited about the opportunities they’re going to get this year who’ve had to wait in the wings because we’ve had some stellar seniors ahead of them. We’ve excited to see some of the young players come onto the scene this year and make a big splash for us!”
