As we continue our preview of each game on the schedule for the Panorama Panthers football team, a familiar opponent will travel to Panora in week two for another matchup.
The Panorama Panthers football team has a full slate of games this year that feature familiar opponents as it is the same schedule that they played last year and in week two the Pella Christian Eagles will be traveling to Panora for another matchup.
This won’t be the first time the Panthers are matching up against the Eagles as last season the Panthers traveled to Pella where the Eagles emerged victorious by a score of 44-7 with Cayden VanMeer going 4/17 for 65 yards and Austin Block rushing the ball 1o times for 27 yards and a touchdown. Block will be absent from the team this year as he was one of the team’s 11 seniors. For the Eagles Isaac Kacmarynski went 5/11 for 115 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Kacmarynski will be on the field once again for the Eagles this year.
The Panthers and Eagles have only faced off three times dating back to 2009 with the Panthers taking the first matchup by a score of 30-25 but in 2020 the Panthers took on the Eagles and fell in a closely contested game by a score of 21-19 falling one game short of qualifying for state.
The Panthers football team will continue their long schedule of games as the Pella Christian Eagles will be coming to town for another matchup beginning at 7 p.m. September 2nd at Panorama High School in Panora.
