A reminder that a historic helicopter will touch down at the Iowa Aviation Museum and the public is invited.
The Vietnam era helicopter called YL-37 which was flown in the Republic of Vietnam from 1965-1968 by Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron Three Six Two (HMM-362) known as the “Ugly Angels,” will land at the Iowa Aviation Museum in Greenfield.
Member of the HMM-362 Squadron Phillip Turner will give a presentation about the several missions as the pilot of the helicopter YL-37 and then Nicolas Turner, a member of the squadron will give a presentation about being selected to the 2022 Iowa Aviation Hall of Fame.
The helicopter will land at Greenfield Municipal Airport at approximately 1pm today which is subject to weather conditions. For more call the Iowa Aviation Museum at 641-343-7184.
