The Greene County Medical Center Foundation recently made a donation toward next year’s Bell Tower Festival.

The medical center and the foundation held its fundraising golf tournament for the first time during this year’s festival. While a majority of the proceeds goes back to the foundation, they wanted to give some of their funds to the Bell Tower Festival Committee in support of kick-starting their planning for next year’s event. 

According to the medical center, over $16,000 was raised from the golf tournament with 21 4-person teams. Those funds will be used to help purchase new equipment for the pain clinic, an additional AED in the clinic, along with pediatric supplies among other needs for the hospital. The foundation also gives money for healthcare scholarships.
