As we continue looking at the stats recorded by both baseball and softball players for the West Central Valley Wildcats today, we’ll start with incoming freshman Aiden Clausen of the baseball team. He started in 8 of the 12 games he played in, making 16 trips to the plate, scoring 7 runs and hitting once for a single base hit. He also recorded 1 RBI, was walked 4 times, reached on error twice, and was struck out 8 times.

Clausen finished the season with .250 on base percentage, 7 assists, 7 put outs, and a fielding percentage of .700. When it came to pitching, he threw 50 times in 1.2 innings, and pitched to 14 opponents.

Sophomore Zoey Dickson made a name for herself, playing some phenomenal softball for the Wildcats. She played and started in all 37 games the team played, was at bat 108 times, scored 45 runs, and hit 50 times, the second most number of hits on the team. Of those 50 hits, she recorded 34 singles, 8 doubles, 5 triples, and 3 homeruns, and gained herself the school record of 41 RBI’s in a season.

Dickson had one sacrifice fly, was walked 18 times, hit by only 1 pitch, and reached on error 7 times. She was struck out 4 times, recording a batting average of .463, an on base percentage of .539, and a slugging percentage of .713. She was successful on all 11 of her base steals, had 58 assists, 79 put outs, and a fielding percentage of .913.
