Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center recently hired Barb South as the new Head Varsity Volleyball Coach and she discussed with Racoon Valley Radio what type of style she wants her team to play with.

South says first and formost she wants her team pride themselves on smart play and teamwork.

“Serving is one of the big things that we’ve done well in the past and as a JV team last year too. So hopefully we continue to see those numbers above 90%. We want to pride ourselves in good passing and knowing, knowing what we’re doing on the floor, that we communicate with each other. We talk, we know where the play is going, and that just that positive teamwork, that they give eye contact with each other, they cheer each other on. They don’t get down on themselves.”

AC/GC volleyball will start their season off on August 23rd against Van Meter on the road.
