The June unemployment rates showed increases across the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Dallas County had the largest jump in unemployment from May to June of 0.4-percent to two-percent. Guthrie County saw a 0.3-percent increase in unemployment from May to June to 2.5-percent. Greene County went from 1.8-percent unemployment in May to two-percent in June, a 0.2-percent increase.

Statewide the unemployment rate dropped 0.1-percent from May to June to 2.6-percent and the national unemployment rate for June was 3.6-percent.
