As the Perry Farmers Market continues throughout the season there will be another special activity tomorrow.
Public Safety Night will be running from 4-7 p.m. at the farmers market in Josh Davis Plaza. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says there will be plenty of special guests for that evening.
“This has been a really popular night for us in the past. So, we have got the fire department, the police department, Dallas County EMS, Dallas County Emergency Management and also HIRTA coming, each of them with their different vehicles so that kids can check them out, climb up into the ambulance and the firetruck and check out all of the buttons in the police car, things like that the kids really seem to enjoy that.”
Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio the event is also a way to help show support for public safety officials in the community while also allowing the community the chance to meet those who keep them safe and drive more people to visit the market.
“We just encourage people to come out. We’ve got more and more produce coming on right now so there’s more variety, more selection. Couple new vendors this year, so just as the season goes on more and more options for people to shop and these activities help bring people down and check things out.”
