The Perry City Council approved a site plan for a Scooter’s Coffee location at their regular meeting Monday.

The Council approved the site plan which will be located at 410 1st Avenue in Perry and will be a 664-square foot drive-thru only kiosk in the vacant lot north of the Verizon store and south of the Subway in Perry. Also, the Council approved voluntary annexations one for Menz Land Co., LLC and one Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Baxter.

Also, the Council approved a pay application in the amount of $46,980 to Crow River Construction for the 2020 downtown street and utility improvements project and work is tentatively set to begin in August, a notice and intent and public hearing to enter into a purchase agreement with Semper Fi Commercial Solutions and set the hearing for September 5th for the matter, a development agreement with Hometown Rental Properties, LLC for the Downtown Upper Story Housing Pilot Program and an amendment to a financial assistance award to update a local match to a line item and total project costs for the 2020 downtown street and utility improvements project.

Finally, the Council approved fixing a time and place for a nuisance abatement hearing of August 1st in the Towncraft Building, approved the fiscal year 2021 annual audit, tax abatement applications for residential construction completed or to be completed in 2022 in Perry, a combination of a plat of survey and creation of a parcel for CK Properties, LLC and authorizing the sale of unused/outdated equipment for various pieces of equipment the city has accumulated.
