Friday, July 15th

6:23pm: Arthur Hardman requested to speak to an Officer in regards to a welfare check. An Officer spoke to him and resolved the issue.

7:11pm: Mia Carmen reported a log in the road in the 600 block of S. Walnut St. An Officer removed the log.

7:19pm: An Officer assisted a motorist in the 300 block of N. Elm St.

8:22pm: A traffic stop at Hwy. 30 and Grimmell resulted in a citation being issued to Kaleigh Groat, of Nevada, for Excessive Speed.

****** As a result of an investigation that began on July 6, 2022, James Wells, of Albion, was charged with Forgery, Identity Theft, and Fraudulent Practice Fifth Degree. Arrest warrants were requested.

Saturday, July 16th

3:38am: While on Patrol an Officer saw a large tree that had fallen onto road near Lincoln Way and N. Pinet St. The Officer contacted the Public Works Director, who made arrangements to have the tree removed.

8:48am: Gary Wiedman requested assistance getting into a residence in the 200 block of N. Oak St. after accidently locking himself out. The Officer was able to make entry into the residence.

9:45am: Cheryl Hanson reported “ditch weed” growing in her yard in the 600 block of South Wilson Street. An Officer advised her she could dispose of it like any other unwanted yard weed.

11:03am: Jennifer Schiltz reported a vehicle that was parked partially on the bike trail near Monroe St. An Officer located the vehicle and made contact with the owner. The vehicle was moved a short time later.

12:45pm: An Officer provided a funeral escort.

1:57pm: Lora Dawson spoke to an Officer in regards to a civil situation. The Officer provided advice.

4:57pm: A traffic stop at Lincoln Way and Walnut resulted ina citation being issued to Christopher Knippers, of Jefferson, for Driving While Suspended.

5:24pm: An unknown caller reported a male who was believed to be intoxicated in a public place, in the 500 block of N. Elm. An Officer responded and subsequently arrested SirJohn Wilder, of Jefferson, for Public Intoxication.

6:38pm: An Officer assisted a Greene County Jailer with an inmate who was noncompliant.

7:45pm: An Officer was made aware of an argument that was taking place in the grandstands at the Fair Grounds. The Officer spoke to those involved and helped to resolve the problem.

Sunday, July 17th

3:46am: Breanna Lappe reported hearing a loud in the 500 block of W. Madison St. An Officer checked the area but did not see anything gout of the ordinary.

10:08am: An Officer assisted a Greene County Jailer with an inmate.

11:14am: Kay Boar reported that an unknown person collided with her vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of S. Wilson St. An Officer collected information, but the damage was minimal and a report was not needed.

12:20pm: An Officer assisted a Greene County Deputy with a traffic collision at 220th St. and L Ave.

3:37pm: Claudette Sherlock requested a welfare check on a family member, in the 900 block of S. Elm. An Officer responded and determined the subject was not home.

7:42pm: An anonymous subject spoke to an Officer in regards to a subject who has arrest warrants. The Officer collected information.

7:53pm: Emily Fisher reported a stray cat in the 400 block of S. Wilson. An Officer located the cat and took it to PAWS.

8:38pm: An Imagine The Possibilities employee requested an Officer to a residence in the 500 block of E. Monroe St. for a client that was being disorderly. An Officer responded, spoke to a company supervisor, and helped to resolve the issue.

9:12pm: Richard Hernandez reported a dog bite situation that occurred in the 700 block of Rushview Dr. An Officer investigated and explained the city ordinance to the dog owner.
