As the football offseason continues, we rewind and discuss an amazing season from the 2021-22 Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center football team

AC/GC had some massive wins in school history in the year of 2021 that include the win in overtime against 2A Greene County, breaking the drought and beating cross town rival Panorama 70-0 with Gavin Cornelison scoring six touchdowns and finished the regular season with a 9-1 record.

In the playoffs the Chargers created some havoc defeating South Hamilton 40-22 giving the ball to Gavin Cornelison 37 times for 333 yards and six touchdowns to give AC/GC their first playoff win in school history. Next, the Charges had a difficult matchup on the road against South Central Calhoun in the second round and then defeating the Titans 34-13 to set up a chance to go to the state semi-final.  Although AC/GC came up short to go to state losing to eventual state champion Van Meter in the quarterfinal, the Chargers had a fantastic year with multiple first team all state players such as Cael Hoing, Cayden Jensen,  Gavin Cornelison and a couple of second team all state athletes such as Victor Gonzalez and Reid Rumelhart.
