With regional competitions wrapped up, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers softball teams are moving on to the Class 4A State Tournament.
For Dallas Center-Grimes they were the Class 4A Region 1 Champions after defeating Bishop Heelan by a score of 10-1 and moved into state as the number three seed with a record of 33-6. The Mustangs will take on the sixth seed Indianola Indians at 5 p.m. tomorrow in Fort Dodge.
For ADM, they earned a close win over the Carroll Tigers by a score of 5-4 to be crowned Class 4A Region 3 Champions and are the number two seed in the 4A state tournament with a record of 32-4. The Tigers will take on the seventh seeded North Scott Lancers at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow in Fort Dodge.
