A Jefferson man was sentenced to a couple of days in jail for a domestic abuse incident.

According to court documents, 44-year-old Dale Ganoe pled guilty to a lesser charge of a simple misdemeanor for domestic abuse assault. As per the plea agreement, Ganoe received an adjudicated sentence for two days in the Greene County Jail. 

The charge stemmed from an incident on June 15th. Jefferson Police Officers responded to a call at 11:02pm at a home in the 1600 block of Newberry Avenue. 

Ganoe was also ordered to pay over $700 in fines, surcharges, court-appointed attorney fees and court costs. There is also a one year no contact order in place with the victim and Ganoe must also undergo a batterer’s treatment program.
