ADM Tigers softball will be looking to book their ticket to state for the second consecutive year tonight, as they welcome the Carroll Tigers in Class 4A Region 3 final action. ADM softball is 30-4 on the season and Carroll is 16-16 on the year.
Both teams were able to post shutouts in their semifinals games on Saturday, with ADM grabbing a 2-0 victory over Boone while Carroll was able to overwhelm Humboldt winning 12-0 in three innings.
Both of these teams faced off against each other twice this year in Raccoon River Conference play with ADM winning both of the contests 13-2 and 8-1. ADM finished first in the conference at 15-1 and Carroll was 8th at 2-13.
Those records can be thrown out the door tonight, as ADM will have to find more offense after 21 combined runs in the two games, while finding sharp pitching and defense as well.
First pitch will be thrown at 7:00 tonight in Adel. You can listen to coverage of the game on True Country K1079, KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:45.
