Fargo, North Dakota may not be every person’s summer destination spot, but to high school wrestlers across the country, it is a prime landing spot. And standing on the podium as a top-8 finisher and All-American, is the ultimate destination.
Greene County High School seniors-to-be Kale Petersen and McKinley Robbins are members of Jefferson’s Sebolt Wrestling Academy and they’ll be competing later this week in the Fargo Dome. Both have qualified in the Junior Division at the 2022 U.S. Marine Corps Nationals July 15-22. Petersen is at 126 lbs. and Robbins at 138 lbs. in the Freestyle Division. Both have won Iowa High School State Championships for Greene County and both have aspirations of wrestling in college on the Division I level.
