The Panorama Panthers Baseball team had multiple pitchers throw from the mound this season with three of them being seniors but they will have plenty of experience returning to the mound next season.
As a whole the Panthers Baseball team finished their season with a combined ERA of 5.82 on the year from 11 players who visited the pitching mound. Of those players three were seniors including Brice Taylor with a 3.50 ERA good for 29th in the West Central Activities Conference, Austin Block with a 2.92 ERA which was 20th in the West Central Activities Conference and Austin Wetzel with a 9.33.
With the absence of these seniors when the season begins in 2023 there will be some experience gone from the pitchers mound but the rest of the pitchers should return next season including Braedon Draper with a 5.80 ERA and Hunter Dishman with a 5.06 ERA and both had more than 20 strikeouts.
Coach Brian Bahrenfuss says there was a lot of potential from the underclassmen during this season and in terms of pitching Bahrenfuss made sure to credit Assistant Coach Cameron Little. Bahrenfuss says there were multiple players who saw extended action on the mound this year.
“With Draper and Dishman they were able to get a good amount of innings this year and we hope to be able to build off of that next season. Besides those two there were six others that found their way to the mound this season that we can hopefully get them to be stronger, more consistent on the mound which is only going to help us coming next season.”
Bahrenfuss tells Raccoon Valley Radio with more players able to show more command of the ball next year will be helpful having more arms in the bullpen.
The season has concluded with the Panthers Baseball team finishing with an overall record of 7-17 on the year and they will be looking to come back next season and get after it again in 2023.
