With the conclusion of the 2022 season for the Panorama Panthers Baseball team it’s time to break down how they performed this year.

The Panthers Baseball team finished their season with an overall record of 7-17 on the year with a West Central Activities Conference record of 6-14 on the year. The Panthers took on the Greene County Rams in the first round of district competition where the Panthers fell by a score of 7-0 and the Rams went on to face off against the Van Meter Bulldogs where they fell 7-0.

On the year Panthers Baseball collectively batted at a .266 with 169 hits on 636 trips to the plate and three home runs on the year. The Panthers finished with a fielding percentage of .915 and from the bullpen they produced an overall era of 5.82 behind 150 innings pitched and 153 strikeouts.

When looking at some of the solid performances throughout the season the Panthers Baseball team was able to generate solid performances all season from the pitchers mound as there were four players had an ERA under six in Braedon Draper with a 5.80, Hunter Dishman with a 5.06, Brice Taylor with a 3.50 and Austin Block with a 2.92 and these pitchers accounted for 124 of the teams 153 strikeouts. Block and Taylor graduated this year and Draper and Dishman will look to return to the mound this year along with six other pitchers who contributed this season as well.

In the hitting department there were plenty of quality at-bats this year as the team hit with a combined .266 including a .500 from Joseph Perrigo, a .423 from Braylon Dawes, and a .324 from Brice Taylor. The Panthers Baseball team got 169 hits this year and 72 RBIs from the hitting department as they will look to build on this success in 2023.

For the Panthers Baseball team the season didn’t end the way they would have hoped but they have plenty of positives to carry forward into next year as they will look to play ball once again in 2023.
