The Adel Family Aquatic Center will be having a fun event coming up soon where participants can craft their own boats to race. 

The 3rd Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta will be taking place beginning at 6 p.m. on July 21st at the aquatic center. There is no cost to participate but registration is required and there can be no more than two members per boat. 

There are rules for boat construction including, boats must only be made out of corrugated cardboard, tape may only be used to hold pieces together, and paint and decorations may not act as reinforcements for the boat, among other rules. Also, each participant must wear a Coast Guard approved personal flotation device.
