The Panthers Softball and Baseball teams are rounding third base for home here in the regular season before their post season begins and they had a double header against Interstate 35 on Tuesday and head to Ogden today.
For the Panthers baseball team they took on the I-35 Roadrunners on Tuesday in double header action as they were seeing that team for the first time this season. Panthers Baseball put bat to ball during both games Tuesday but lost game one 18-8 and dropped game two by a score of 15-6. Panthers Baseball fell to an overall record of 7-15 on the year but the team did recognize its seniors in Austin Block, Austin Wetzel and Brice Taylor.
The Panthers Softball team also took on I-35 on Tuesday in double header action and on senior night and strikeout cancer night as well. The Panthers girls were looking to get more wins on the season but ultimately fell by scores of 18-2 and 13-1 falling to an overall record of 1-24 on the year so far.
The Panthers Softball team honored their lone senior on the team on Tuesady in Grace Webner not only for her outstanding career as a Panorama Panthers Softball player which has seen her tally more than 50 hits, more than 26 RBIs and numerous other accomplishments but also for her fight with Stage III Hodgkin’s Lymphoma that she won and has gone on to continue her outstanding career on the softball field for Panorama. Webner will go on to play softball at Iowa Central Community College in the fall as well.
The Panthers Softball and Baseball teams have more action on the schedule today when they head to Ogden to take on the Bulldogs, a team that both Panorama teams have faced off against once already this season with Panthers Baseball falling by a score of 12-0 and Panthers Softball ultimately falling in their first matchup against Ogden this year by a score of 13-5 so both teams will be looking to even our their season series against the Bulldogs tonight in Ogden.
The Panthers Softball and Baseball teams will continue their seasons today as they look to even out the season series when they take on the Ogden Bulldogs today in Ogden.
