One local bank in Jefferson is hosting an annual event to help anyone clear out space in their office or other areas of their homes.

Home State Bank will be having its Shred Day Wednesday from 4-6pm in the bank parking lot. Any unwanted documents, other paperwork, or expired credit cards will be accepted for free. Additionally, anyone who participates is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and toiletries to be donated to the Greene County Action Resource Center.

No pre-registration is necessary for this free event.
